Abyssal Escape Killers
Abyssal Escape launched with five killers. The Deity (X) is free. The other four are unlocked with rings. Every killer goes through three phases in a round, and two of them, No More Innocence and 2017X, change into a different form with a new moveset in Phase 3.
The Deity (X)
Trapper and trickster · Free starter killer
The free starter is also one of the two best killers at launch: easy to learn, great map control, and hard to read.
Abilities: Hide and Seek, Ring Trap, Peekaboo
No More Innocence
Deceiver with a Phase 3 transformation · Unlocked with rings
The best information killer in the game, with a Phase 3 form that finishes rounds. One of the two strongest picks at launch.
Abilities: Screen Transportation, Deceit, Hallucination
Fleetway Super Sonic
Aerial rushdown · Unlocked with rings
The highest skill ceiling of the five. Dominant when you can aim the Laser and land grabs, frustrating when you can't.
Abilities: Flight, Laser, Grab
2017X
Rushdown with a Phase 3 transformation · Unlocked with rings
A fun two-form rushdown killer. Beast Form is scary, but the base form has trouble getting kills.
Abilities: Top Speed, Spin Dash, Obsession
Furnace
Resource killer (Heat) · Unlocked with rings (one of the cheaper killers, per the tester preview)
Slow and punishable early, very dangerous once Phase 3 refills his Heat. Weakest start, strong finish.
Abilities: Charge Heat, Thruster Flight, Claw Slash, Scorched Earth
